Dallas cowboys started off the week on a hot streak after winning 3 games straight when they went to Detroit to face the Lions. They were confident and ready for the game, prepared to beat the Lions and keep up their chances to get to the playoffs for the first time since 2023 where they had lost to the Green Bay Packers.
As the first quarter of the game ended the Lions had 10 points and the Cowboys had 3, so even though they were not playing badly they were still behind. By halftime, the cowboys found themselves in even more of a deficit when the scores were 20-9.
The third quarter came around, and this is where things really started to go downhill. The Cowboys received a costly fumble, a penalty, and a play where CeeDee Lamb tried to jump in and catch a ball with one hand but fell and hit his head on the turf causing him to be pulled from the game with a concussion.
After all that, Dak Prescott and the team fought back super hard in the fourth and final quarter of the game, they managed to bring it to a 3 point game, with the score being 30-27, with a just less than ten minutes left on the clock. Unfortunately, they could not fully come back, and the final score came to 44-30 with the Lions winning in the end. This leaves the Cowboys with almost no chance at making it to the super bowl with only an 8-9% chance of it actually happening.
