The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a scary film made in 2022, is easily one of my favorite horror movies. The movie is very suspenseful, which I feel makes it great. They make it happen slowly but very specifically. I think it was a great idea to make it a direct sequel to the 1974 original film.
I love the way that they capture everyone’s point of view and not just one person. They show all the main characters and their experience with the chainsaw killer which I think is very interesting and it adds to the creepiness of the film, it even shows a little bit of the killer’s point of view. One thing I do wish is that they wouldn’t have started killing off the characters so quickly and close together.
In the film I feel as though they should have let us know more about all of the characters rather than just the main sisters. They didn’t give us enough information about them to feel sorry for them. If they were to give us more information we could have had more sympathy for them when they got killed off one by one because we would be able to make some sort of connection with them as well as we did with the two sisters.
In my opinion, I feel like the ending was sort of rough; it wasn’t the worst, but I feel like they could have made it a little bit more detailed. Although I do like the fact that they made it short and simple. I like the idea of how it ended but again if they were to make it just a little more detailed, it would be amazing.
