On August 1st of 2017, a farm life sim video game called Slime Rancher hit the gaming community. Since then this game has gained fame and attraction from many gamers around the world. But does it still live up to the hype?
Slime Rancher has won many awards for the quality of the game, for example it was nominated for “Debut Game” at British Academy Games
Awards. With an all-time peak of 17,509 players on steam, I wouldn’t doubt it deserves fame! Lets get some opinions of some gamers around

“Slime Rancher is still so fun, I don’t care what anyone says” Andrew Scott (10) States. “Its the perfect simulator and shooter game combined,
it’s sad to know it lost its popularity.”
Well, you’d be surprised, considering its peak in players was in 2024. Even releasing a sequel on September 23rd, 2025, which is included in the
PlayStation Plus lineup for March 2026! The game is heavily underestimated to this day, Many known gamers and streamers still play the game, such as Blitz, pulling millions of views with his recorded gameplay!
“The game fell off for sure.” Shawn Gugin (12) States. “I think a lot of people still play the game but it just gets boring.”
Opinions aside, it cant be ignored that since 2017, Slime Rancher has been up and running well for the time its been released! Many would even claim it is one of the best simulation games to be made.
