Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is a 2025 sequel following the first movie hit released in 2023. In this movie the main protagonists come back and continue facing new animatronics introduced as Toy Bonnie, Toy Chica, Toy Freddy and Mangle following The Mariannette’s appearance. As we go deeper into the movie, we are also introduced to withered Chica, foxy, Bonnie and Freddy.
In my opinion, this film was amazing; it had a touch of suspense, mystery, and horror. It also falls into a lore and lets us make theories and uncover what’s true and what’s not. The best scenes in the movie is when it gets intense or suspenseful, for example, when the Mariannette attacks and possesses Abby and Lisa. Another example would be when the toy animatronics wake up the withered animatronics leaving us in the ‘uh oh’ moment.
One of my favorite scenes was towards the end when Mike knew they would need the help of the original animatronics from the first movie to defeat the toy animatronics. He knew they’d help since deep down they love Abby, and they’d do anything to keep her safe. To me this was a sweet scene because for once Mike agrees that the only ones that can help are the original animatronics. Yea, maybe they didn’t come out at that moment but instead they went to Mike’s home when they knew the toy animatronics were about to kill Abby, Mike, and Vanessa. And this scene was amazing because their entrance was just the best entrance I could’ve ever imagined, and they finally defeated the toy animatronics.
The ending of the film was pretty much sad since the animatronics weren’t made to leave the pizzeria, so when they defeated the toy animatronics, it was their time to say goodbye too. Although at the end of the movie it shows a few credit scenes. The first one was Mariannette waking up and possessing Vanessa and boom; it ends right there. So, we sure will see The Mariannette in the 3rd film. In the 2nd credit scene, we’re shown a group of guys enter the pizzeria to get items for a haunted house as said. The group of guys come across Springtrap’s body which has William Afton’s body in it. They decide to take him to the haunted house not knowing what’s to come. We see Springtrap’s eye light up and just by that we know he has woken up to continue what he hasn’t finished. If we spin back to a few scenes before it shows one of the ghosts telling Mike, “He’ll come back stronger’. If we connect that to what Springtrap said (aka William Afton) in the first film “I always come back”, i can assume William Afton is coming back for the third movie. Overall, this movie was really good so if you haven’t watched it yet I recommend watching it.
